CBAM: the definitive phase makes embedded emissions declarative

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism enters its definitive phase. Declarations of embedded emissions become structuring for exporters: they govern access to the European market as much as price does. The framework rests on EU Regulations 2023/956 and 2023/1773, completed by the 2025 omnibus package. On method, quantification draws on ISO 14064-1 and the GHG Protocol, product footprint on ISO 14067, ISO 14040 and 14044, EN 15804.

Decree 2-25-100: three regimes for electricity self-generation

The electricity self-generation regime is in force. Depending on the project profile, it falls under declaration, connection approval or authorisation — three routes with distinct documents and lead times, handled within the ANRE framework. The decree completes laws 13-09 and 82-21. Monitoring and testing of installations fall under IEC 61724 and IEC 62446, electrical safety under the NM and NF C 15-100 standards.

Industrial eco-construction: the trade-offs are settled at planning stage

Eco-construction for industrial buildings combines energy sobriety, low-carbon materials and bioclimatic design. These three levers are decided at the planning stage: once design is fixed, the room for manoeuvre shrinks to costly corrections. The framework combines the building thermal regulation and its climate zoning, EN ISO 52016 for the energy performance of buildings, EN 15978 and EN 15804 for the life-cycle assessment of structures.
